In 2017, Mozambique used WhatsApp (WA) as a tool to mentor provincial and district health teams during a bed nets universal coverage campaign (UCC). A qualitative study analyzed 24,897 messages exchanged across seven WA groups, focusing on five key themes: administrative/financial, logistics, planning and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and best practices. The study found that WA fostered central-level coordination, enabled timely support for local teams, and facilitated efficient information sharing, thereby contributing to the smooth implementation and success of the campaign.
