This systematic review assessed the evidence base for Empowered Worldview (EWV), a faith-inspired intervention developed by World Vision to address the internal and external drivers of poverty by fostering mindset shifts, behavioral change, and improved well-being. Drawing on 17 studies from 2016 to 2024, the review found that EWV consistently increases hope and shows promising associations with improved economic participation, social cohesion, and child well-being — particularly when integrated with complementary programs. The review highlights the importance of quality implementation, contextual adaptation, and more rigorous, standardized evaluation methods to fully understand and maximize EWV’s impact.
