World Vision’s resilience framework integrates social systems to sustain and scale outcomes across humanitarian, development, and peace (HDP) contexts in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Rooted in evidence and technical expertise, the framework emphasizes the role of agri-food, health, and social protection systems in addressing shocks and stresses that undermine well-being. Resilience is defined as a multi-dimensional concept encompassing processes, mindsets, and capacities that enable individuals, households, and communities to recover from and manage risks. By fostering locally led, multi-stakeholder solutions, World Vision builds systems capacity, promotes social cohesion, and advances sustainable development outcomes across health, WASH, education, and child protection, while continuously learning and adapting to evolving global challenges.
