World Vision partners with over 4,000 local and national Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) across more than 100 countries to support communities through humanitarian and development work. A central aspect of World Vision’s approach is local ownership and empowerment, reflecting its core values. As a signatory to the Grand Bargain, World Vision is committed to equitable partnerships and the centrality of locally-led action. To improve its partnership practices and advance its localization agenda, World Vision commissioned an external review involving 181 partners from 31 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, and the Americas. Through interviews and surveys, the review sought feedback on five key areas: local partners’ contributions to localization objectives, the effectiveness and trustworthiness of partnerships, the fairness and transparency of funding practices, capacity strengthening driven by demand, and enhancing coordination, visibility, and voice for local partners.
