World Vision’s Channels of Hope for Child Protection is a faith-based approach that equips communities — particularly faith leaders and their networks — to address child protection challenges by shifting harmful social norms and behaviors. Adapted to confront issues such as child marriage, neglect, and corporal punishment, the model has been implemented across diverse cultural and religious contexts. From 2016 to 2021, a study conducted with Queen Margaret University in Guatemala, Senegal, and Uganda evaluated how this model mobilizes faith leaders to reduce violence against children at both community and societal levels.
