Unlock Literacy is World Vision’s evidence-based model to improve foundational literacy and foster a love of learning for children ages 6–9, both in and out of school. Developed and refined since 2012, Unlock Literacy is designed to be effective, adaptable, and scalable — especially in vulnerable contexts where learning poverty is highest. The model strengthens the education ecosystem holistically, equipping parents, caregivers, schools, and communities to support children’s reading development in fun, creative, and child-centered ways.
