This technical report examines how World Vision’s Strengthen PSNP Institutions and Resilience (SPIR) program restored degraded watersheds across Ethiopia while improving food security, livelihoods, and resilience for vulnerable communities. Drawing on lessons from 2015-2026, it highlights effective approaches including soil and water conservation, Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR), tree planting, forage development, and small-scale irrigation. These efforts restored more than 56,000 hectares of land while generating lasting environmental and economic benefits for communities.
