Empowered Worldview (EWV) is a faith-based training model developed by World Vision to foster hope, self-efficacy, compassionate relationships, and integrity. Implemented in 40 countries since 2015, a two-year study in rural Tanzania assessed EWV’s impact on mindset, behavior, and child well-being using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Findings show EWV significantly improved mindset — especially hope and self-efficacy — among participants, with positive downstream effects on child nutrition, especially when paired with other development interventions. The study underscores EWV’s potential for broad, faith-aligned impact, while also identifying areas to strengthen measurement tools for mindset dimensions.
