Effectiveness and implementation of “Graduation Approach” livelihood programs with displaced populations

This peer-reviewed systematic review, co-authored by World Vision researchers and external partners, examines what is currently known about the effectiveness and implementation of Graduation model livelihood programs among displaced populations. Synthesizing evidence from both academic and grey literature, the review assesses how these widely used approaches support sustainable livelihoods in contexts of displacement and identifies key factors that influence implementation and long-term sustainability. By systematically mapping what is known and where critical evidence gaps remain, this study contributes to strengthening when and how Graduation approaches are appropriately applied in displaced settings.
