World Vision’s Do No Harm for Faith Groups (DNH4FG) adapts the widely used conflict sensitivity approach to help religious leaders recognize and minimize unintended harm in their communities. By integrating sacred texts with practical tools, the workshop supports faith leaders in applying conflict-sensitive principles through everyday actions like preaching and pastoral care.
Research in Mombasa, Kenya, and Soyapango, El Salvador, found that DNH4FG improved faith leaders’ knowledge, behavior, and decision-making. It also demonstrated potential as a foundation for engaging religious leaders in peacebuilding and interfaith collaboration in fragile, urban contexts.
