WASH UP! Girl Talk storybook

WASH UP! Girl Talk equips pre-adolescent and adolescent girls and boys with knowledge and confidence around puberty, menstrual hygiene, and WASH. First launched in 2017 with support from Sesame Workshop, Dubai Cares, and the Imago Dei Fund, the project reached over 53,000 children across 150 schools. Through age-appropriate multimedia content, the program challenged harmful taboos and promoted gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) in education and health. This storybook highlights real-life impact stories and demonstrates how community-based efforts can shift norms and empower youth in low-resource, rural settings.
