World Vision’s Food Security & Livelihoods (FSL) sector aligns with the SDGs by focusing on strengthening local agrifood and market systems, fostering sustainable livelihoods, and building resilience in vulnerable communities. To address the complex challenges faced by the rural poor, the FSL Research Council, established in 2019, collaborates with seven leading institutions to advance evidence-based solutions, innovation, and capacity building for LMIC stakeholders. The Council’s research agenda drives program quality improvements, exploring themes such as COVID-19 impacts, adaptive management, and the humanitarian-development-peace (HDP) nexus. This publication synthesizes insights from these efforts, offering actionable evidence to enhance policy, program design, and systems outcomes.
