Leveraging the CORE Group Partners Project polio infrastructure to integrate COVID-19 vaccination and routine immunization in South Sudan

This article showcases how integrating COVID-19 vaccination with routine immunization in South Sudan improved coverage for both while reducing costs and expanding access to hard-to-reach communities. By leveraging polio infrastructure and engaging health workers and volunteers, the approach overcame vaccine hesitancy, minimized duplication, and strengthened health system resilience. The model offers policymakers a practical strategy for addressing multiple health challenges simultaneously in resource-constrained settings.
