We fight against human trafficking: World Vision’s work in Thailand

This in-depth interview with Saphasakon Songsukkai, World Vision Thailand’s USAID CTIP Project Manager, highlights his leadership over two decades in combating human trafficking in Thailand and the Greater Mekong Subregion. Through the USAID Thailand Counter Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) initiative, World Vision has focused on building the capacity of service providers, enhancing cross-border cooperation, and strengthening legal frameworks and victim identification systems. The work encompasses prevention, protection, prosecution, and policy reform — addressing trafficking in all forms, from sex and labor exploitation to emerging challenges like forced criminality. With a comprehensive, regional approach and strong government partnerships, World Vision Thailand has contributed to efforts to protect vulnerable populations and support survivors.
