World Vision will join global experts at the 2025 Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue, organized by the World Food Prize Foundation — one of the world’s premier platforms for advancing bold solutions in food and agriculture.

As a global leader in food security and livelihoods (FSL), World Vision brings deep technical expertise and a proven track record of impact — from equipping communities with tools for lasting resilience to strengthening market systems that support U.S. farmers. Working across the Humanitarian–Development–Peace Nexus, we take a multi-sectoral approach that integrates education, nutrition, livelihoods, WASH, and child protection to improve resilience in some of the world’s most fragile contexts, including Ethiopia, Somalia, and the DRC.

Commodity management and global food assistance

World Vision has vast experience in commodity management and distribution, where we are the largest INGO partner of the World Food Programme (WFP). Each year, we manage and distribute thousands of metric tons of American commodities through USDA-supported programs, ensuring that food reaches those who need it most while supporting U.S. farmers and advancing global food security.

School feeding and child well-being

World Vision is a global leader in school feeding, reaching nearly one million children across 20 countries in seven regions. Through the McGovern-Dole Food for Education and Child Nutrition (MGD) program and other U.S. government partnerships, we provide nutritious meals that help children learn, grow, and thrive—strengthening both education outcomes and community resilience.

Private sector engagement

World Vision is expanding partnerships with the private sector to advance shared priorities in emerging markets through inclusive market systems development (iMSD). By working with agribusinesses, financial institutions, and local enterprises, we’re fostering collaboration and innovation that drive sustainable food systems, economic opportunity, and shared value for vulnerable communities and business partners alike.

Economic development and the Graduation Approach

Through the Graduation Approach (Ultra-Poor Graduation, or UPG), World Vision helps families build sustainable livelihoods, increase resilience, and ultimately graduate out of poverty and off the need for aid. This proven model integrates livelihood development, savings groups, financial inclusion, and coaching to empower households to achieve lasting self-reliance.

At the Borlaug Dialogue, our experts will engage with leaders across the public and private sectors to explore shared priorities, forge new collaborations, and highlight opportunities for partnership and knowledge exchange that drive innovation, sustainable food systems, and inclusive economic growth for children and communities worldwide.
