World Vision is honored to participate in the World Bank Annual Meetings, which bring together government ministers, policymakers, civil society, and global development leaders to shape priorities for the world’s most pressing challenges. We join our colleagues from across the world to advocate for children to be at the center of development agendas.
At the event, World Vision experts will engage leaders across the sector to influence policy and financing priorities to ensure that children — especially those living in fragile and conflict-affected contexts — remain central to development investments and decision-making through actions such as:
- Recognizing children as agents of change, ensuring their voices are meaningfully included in policy processes and development strategies.
- Advancing evidence-based solutions that deliver measurable impact across key sectors including health, education, livelihoods, and child protection, improving outcomes for children and their communities.
- Strengthening strategic partnerships with donors, governments, and peer organizations to align efforts, share learning, and maximize the reach and sustainability of child-focused programs.
- Urging development partners to engage faith actors as trusted partners who strengthen community resilience and advance social change and co-creators of solutions — not just implementers — ensuring community-led, sustainable results.
- Investing in peacebuilding and child-sensitive services — including education, health, nutrition, and protection — to create safer environments and promote long-term wellbeing.

A 35-Year Partnership for Children
For more than three decades, World Vision has worked alongside the World Bank Group to improve the lives of children and families worldwide. Our joint efforts span early childhood development, nutrition, education, and crisis recovery — from flood response in South Sudan to social accountability in Cambodia and nutrition programs in Senegal.
Virtual Opportunity
Join us to explore how faith actors support children’s well-being and advance women’s empowerment in fragile contexts during Faith Matters: Driving Inclusive Development in Fragile and Hard-to-Reach Contexts through Faith-Based Collaboration, taking place on 16 October, 9:00–10:30 AM (ET), moderated by Dr. Jean Baptiste Kamate, Chief Field Operations Officer, World Vision International.
